Welcome to Image Facial Pain Center. Our doctor is an orofacial pain specialist with advanced training in dental sleep medicine, an area of dentistry where we can treat snoring and obstructive sleep apnea disorders. An orofacial pain specialist is commonly called a TMJ specialist. We can treat even the most challenging TMJ problems, headaches, and various orofacial pain conditions including neuralgias and neuropathies.
Our mission is to help our patients improve the quality of life by alleviating their suffering or discomfort associated with orofacial pain and TMJ.
Meet Dr. Catalina Morarasu
Dr. Catalina Morarasu is an orofacial pain specialist, supported by our team of friendly and dedicated professionals to make you comfortable throughout your visit. She is highly skilled and has over 25 years of experience in accurately diagnosing and treating some of the most challenging and chronic TMJ and Orofacial Pain problems including neuralgias and neuropathies. Dr. Morarasu is a recognized authority in her field and has also been able to treat patients with chronic migraine and tension-type headaches who were unable to find relief elsewhere. She is compassionate and provides cutting-edge treatment with care and dedication. Dr. Morarasu gives patients her undivided attention and personalizes treatment plans to patients specific health and lifestyle needs.
Dr. Morarasu works diligently to get to the root cause of facial pain and provide the most appropriate solutions. She will devise a personalized treatment plan to address the underlying cause of your pain, give you relief, and protect your oral and musculoskeletal health.
Dr. Catalina Morarasu has been dedicated to the comprehensive diagnosis and management of Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD) and Orofacial Pain for the last 25 years. She also is experienced at treating Obstructive Sleep Apnea patients using oral appliances, being able to help thousands of patients to improve their overallHealth.
Dr. Morarasu is one of the few Diplomate, American Board of Orofacial Pain and Diplomate, American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine in the Bay Area.
To ensure the quality of orofacial pain care and treatment, the American Board of Orofacial Pain annually administers both a written and oral examination. Those who successfully pass this two-part examination, earn the designation of Diplomate of the American Board of Orofacial Pain with all the rights and privileges that come with that honor.
Dentists who are Diplomates of the ABDSM (The American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine) have demonstrated that they have the skills and knowledge essential for the delivery of excellent patient care. The ABDSM believes higher standards for dental sleep medicine translate into better care for patients and greater accountability. The ABDSM credential is widely recognized as the gold standard for excellence in dental sleep medicine.
